GEKA Brush

History

GEKA BRUSH was established in 1925 by Georg Karl senior, and first concentrated on the manufacture of brushes for a variety of different applications.

Since the beginning of the 1980's, GEKA has specialised in the development and production of premium brushes and applicators for the cosmetics industry. At the same time, the company has greatly expanded upon its operations, diversifying into plastics processing, moulding, assembly and decorating to produce complete packing and application systems to meet the requirements of prestige cosmetics houses around the world.

We now provide solutions for an increasing range of cosmetics products which include mascara, eyeliner, nail lacquer, lip gloss, liquid eye shadow and correction fluid packs, and we also manufacture specialised brushes for the dental hygiene industry.

Brush and Applicator Technology

For more than 40 years, GEKA has developed and manufactured thousands of different brush types varying in fibre types, fibre cross section, fibre cut, number of coils and twists and in total length and diameter.

Research and development focusing on new fibre types, brush shapes and potential uses, remains a high priority and a number of outstanding breakthroughs in technology have been achieved.

GEKA has become a world leader in cosmetics brush and applicator technology and is currently unrivalled in developmental experience and product variety. We offer each of our customers a service of comprehensive testing of their bulk cosmetic formulations to accurately determine the wiper system and/or applicator specifications, brush shape and fibre type best suited to each product and its application.

Innovative Packaging Solutions

Along with specialisation in applicators, GEKA has advanced its competence in plastics engineering and cosmetics package design. Innovative and forward thinking responses to the changing needs of the cosmetics industry have resulted in many unique and successful new developments.
