The key to providing the highest quality end product is a thoroughly modern approach to teamwork.
With professional teamwork, GEKA strives to maintain excellence in every activity and manufactured part.
Management Structure
GEKA has broken free of the creative inertia typical of more traditional institutions. Instead, we
actively foster an organisational culture that allows the free interchange of ideas and information.
GEKA encourages a multi-channelled flow of dialogue and input that crosses all internal and external
boundaries. We have moved away from the typical pyramidal hierarchy of managerial structure in favour
of a more egalitarian approach to leadership. Responsibility and decision making power is delegated
as closely as possible to the relevant action point. We provide freedom and scope in decision making
at each step to arrive progressively at the best solutions possible to maximise value for our customers.
Within this environment, managers and individual team leaders understand their role as coaches who create
the framework whereby all employees are empowered as well as challenged to take initiative and responsibility.
Our expectations are high, and we strongly encourage commitment and self-motivation as the character goals
for GEKA personnel.
In this way we have become a learning organisation with the flexibility to capture and respond to new ideas
and improvements. GEKA has successfully inspired and empowered all of our clients and customers in every
aspect of development, production and final market presentation.
The GEKA - Team
All new employees go through an individualised induction period, and a major part of our personnel policy
focuses on education and training. For each employee there is a comprehensive training programme comprising
in-house as well as external seminars. The topics range from machine operating, controlling, problem solving,
teamwork through to self-awareness and leadership.
Each year GEKA recruits new apprentices training for administrative functions or to reach full qualification
as technicians and plastics engineers. Many employees are involved in continuous improvement groups where
they are able to contribute with their own creative ideas. All employees at GEKA are aware of, and guided
by GEKA's strategic Quality Management motto of G = Q.
