Brush manufacturing
With more than 30 fully automated machines there is a capacity of more than 150 million brushes for
mascara and interdental applications. The variety of fibres used, fibre diameters, number of fibres
per twist, wire diameters, number of twists, length, diameter and shape of brush is so vast that
currently more than 800 different brushes are supplied to customers.
This diversity is the foundation
for being able to offer each customer individual applicators to support the application claim based
on customer's formulation. Brush making machines are equipped with camera inspection systems to ensure
100 % perfect brushes for each customer. The assembly of brush into plastic rod at GEKA also happens
fully automatically.
