GEKA Brush

Silber Jubiläum GEKA UK

The weather started off quite misty and cool, but eventually the sun broke through the clouds, and a fun daytime event was enjoyed by all.

The goody bags flowed as proud members of all teams within Geka showed their family members around the factory, aided by a selection of knowledgeable and helpful members of the Geka team, finishing off with a visit to the goody bag table with the chance to purchase cut price cosmetic items with all proceeds going to charity.

Outside the ice cream man fought off crowds brandishing their free ice cream tokens, and the rides were in full swing (you know who you are!) . Some children even got to have a go!

The caterers for the day provided a delicious barbecue with such tasty treats as chicken wings, salad and burgers. Everyone did his or her bit in ensuring that the catering van went home empty.

In summary, a great day was had by all who attended, many thanks to the team who made the daytime event possible.

The evening event kicked off at 7pm with an informative speech from Raymond Oliver. The buffet started and the beer flowed as Geka colleagues in their glad rags got the party started!

The evenings entertainment got off to a great start with a set from Dionne Andre’s Absolute Eighties, and there was no stopping people from hitting the dance floor to throw some funky shapes!

After the first set from the band, the DJ took over, playing a mix of hits, and it wasn’t long before the band were back on stage, one particular highlight being the Madonna medley!

The dance floor was jam packed, and despite the cold evening, a fantastic time was had by all.

Thank you to everyone who attended, including our colleagues from Geka D - Hans Rainer Stork and his partner Wendy, Walter Schmidt and Norbert Dumler.

Particular thanks to the Silber Jubiläum committee, who put on a fabulous event, and to Geka for making it possible.
