GEKA Brush

WWD Beauty CEO Summit 2006

The beauty's brightest stars and key decision-makers came together once again. The reason was Fairchild's WWD Beauty CEO Summit held from May 10-12 in Miami. The event took place at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Speakers like Tom Ford, Leslie H. Wexner, Wendy Liebmann, William P. Lauder, Andrea Jung, Susan Arnold and Marc Menesguen gave a lecture on different topics concerning the cosmetics industry and it’s development in the future.

GEKA BRUSH's sales office – the GEKA-Toly USA Corporation was one of the Sponsors and took on the hosting of the breakfast during the event.

Bernd Fellner and Norbert Dumler – from the headquarters in Germany, and Jerry Sapienza, President of the US office attended the event during the three days.

Innovation was the key word of the Summit and consequently due to this, GEKA's moulded brushes were a focus. GEKA-Toly provided the speaker and guests with GEKA's brand new innovation- the Moltrusion® brush, and handed out a gift bag to all the participants.

Some conclusions and statements from the speakers:

"We need to trust our intuition. If we're bored while we're designing a product, the consumer will be bored." – Tom Ford

"The next five years in beauty retailing will unleash more innovation, more change, more radical transformation than in the previous 30." – Neil Fiske, Bath & Body Works

"A great retailer wants our brands primarily because of the connection our brands have with the consumer." – William P. Lauder, Estée Lauder Cos.

"GEKA-Toly, proud Sponsor of the 2006 WWD Beauty CEO Summit, would like to thank the outstanding speakers and guests for allowing us to share in this powerful and enriching event. Congratulations to everyone involved." – Jerry Sapienza, GEKA-Toly US Corporation
